Hi, I’m Kristin Amico, a freelance writer and marketer who works remotely while traveling.
In 2017 I quit my full-time job in PR and corporate communications and bought a one-way plane ticket to Eastern Europe. More than a year later I’m still living out of a suitcase–well, two suitcases, actually. I’ve traveled through Europe and India while working on projects that range from writing guidebooks and food and cocktail articles to helping corporate clients create engaging blogs and marketing content.
After visiting more than 20 countries and too many flights, buses, trains and rickshaws to count, I realized that there are a lot of misconceptions about remote working and solo travel. I’m here to share the pragmatic, unglamorous lessons I’ve learned while traveling the globe.
How Do I Start?
That’s the question people ask me quite a bit. Whether you simply want to travel more while you hold down a job, need a confidence boost to go it alone (it’s really fun!), or want to ease out of the 9-5, browse my travel and budget tips for inspiration and best practices.
Here are a few interviews where I discuss what I’ve learned along the way.
